ABSTRACT
Complex and encompassing, mental health goes much beyond the absence of disease. It refers to a person's ability to relate with others and their environment in a way that encourages the best possible use of their cognitive, affective, and relational skills as well as general wellbeing.[1] The absence of mental disorders is only one aspect of mental wellness. It is described as a state of wellbeing in which each person reaches their full potential, is able to deal with everyday stressors, can work productively and fruitfully, and can contribute to their community.[2]
