Normal labour (Prakrit Prasava) happens naturally and possesses characteristics like Swabhava, Upasthita Kala, Avaksira, Svabhavika Kala and Upadravarahita. When the time of labour begins, the head of the baby rotates and moves downward to be delivered through the Apatyapatha. According to Ayurveda Kaala Prakarsha, Mukta Naadi Nibandha, Swabhava, Garbha Vaasa Vairagya and Gatra Sampurnata are the key biological and philosophical concepts underlying Prasava.
