Abstract

ABSTRACT

Ayurved is the holistic life science mainly deals with maintenance of health of healthy person and treatment of diseased person. Ayurveda helps in quality of living and become disease free healthy environment. It is to be made clearthat health according to Ayurveda is not absence of disease, it gives the basic and applied aspects of life. According to Ayurveda there are three essential elements Vata, Pitta and Kapha, which constitutes the “Tridosha” andthey are responsiblefor the normal physiology and abnormal pathology of the human body. The imbalance of Vata, Pitta and Kapha leads to the „Vyadhi? i.e. disease. The aim of Ayurveda is to neutralise the imbalance of Vata, Pitta and Kapha, which only can be achieved by suitable administration of the drugs as well as Ahara &Vihar.
