Abstract

DEVELOPMENT AND ANALYSIS OF VENLAFAXINE HCL EXTENDED-RELEASE MATRIX TABLETS

*Goley Kumar Anuj and Mujahid Mohammad

ABSTRACT

The aim of this study is to develop a sustained-release tablet formulation of Venlafaxine, an antidepressant, to improve patient compliance and optimize drug therapy outcomes. The sustained-release formulation will provide a extended release of the drug, ensuring prolonged and consistent therapeutic effects, while reducing the frequency of administration. The research will involve formulation development, optimization of sustained-release characteristics, evaluation of in vitro drug release, and assessment of key quality parameters. The study will also include in vitro-in vivo correlation (IVIVC) studies to establish the relationship between in vitro release and in vivo performance. The findings from this research will contribute to the development of an effective and patientfriendly formulation of Venlafaxine, ultimately enhancing patient compliance and treatment outcomes.
