For the fulfilment of therapeutics in Ayurveda, the knowledge of Dravya is must. As explained by Acharya Sushruta that the imbalance of the doshas in the body can be treated with the help of Panchabhouthika Dravyas. Therefore, the knowledge about the properties of Dravya is very important as these explains the therapeutic action of a particular Dravya.
