SYNTHESIS AND ANTI-INFLAMMATORY ACTIVITY OF SUBSTITUTED PHENYL THIAZOLE DERIVATIVES

ABSTRACT
The derivatives of substituted phenyl thiazoles are synthesized from acetophenones and thiourea. The synthesized compounds have been characterized by TLC, elemental analysis, IR,[1] H.NMR spectroscopy. All the compounds were evaluated for anti- inflammatory activity by formalin and carrageenan induced rat hind paw edema method by using nimesulide drug as standard. Nitro substituted thiozole derivatives shows better anti-inflammatory activity when compared to standard drug.
